I am a dietician that has counted proteins, fats, carbohydrates for close on 10 years and before that I have dieted; low fat, no fat, high protein, no mixing of food groups, the list is endless. I know your plights, I have been there and done that BUT I am finally free from this way of thinking due to a few very important events that happened in my life and I feel I really need to share them with you, here they are:
No.1- Go and see a HIGHLY QUALIFIED & REGISTERED HYPNOTHERAPIST. Some Psychologist use hypnotherapy as a tool for treatment.
No.2.-Read Martha Beck's "4 Day Win" and follow her inspirational advice.
No.3- Understand the importance of nutrition and how it works by either seeing a qualified dietician or nutritionist.
How did these steps help me:
The hypnotherapy helped me lift the cage for good on dieting. I am no longer obsessed about the next meal, I don't counts Carbs, I eat when I am hungry but this took at least 8 hypnotherapy session.
Learning Martha Beck's tools gave me fabulous ideas on how to stop and listen to my body, allowing my mind and body to work together. I use her work a great deal with my clients and get wonderful results.
And of course, being a dietician gave me the background knowledge to work with what I know and not to get confused with media overload.
